The Precious Jewel Beloved by His Lord

Song Miaoyun was born into nobility. Beautiful and elegant, she also had a spoiled, willful streak.

After offending the family of the prime minister, she was sent away to a small town to lie low.

The town was tiny, and Song Miaoyun spent her days throwing her weight around, stirring up trouble, and teasing the cats and dogs. No one could do a thing about her.

One day, as she left the Red Sleeve House, she came across a peerlessly beautiful man, who looked like an immortal, floating in the moat.

A beauty lover, she promptly fished him out and took him home.

·

The beauty was born to a concubine and had been cruelly framed by his father's principal wife. His life had been utterly miserable.

He also knew everything from astronomy to geography, and could effortlessly discourse on poetry, wine, flowers, and tea.

His graceful composure only made him seem more extraordinary.

As time passed, her designs on him grew. After countless fruitless attempts to win him over, she had him tied up and carried to the wedding sedan, forcing him to cover his head with a red veil and marry her.

But on their wedding night, before she could even put on a fierce act to intimidate the beauty, he had her pinned down.

After Song Miaoyun had been thoroughly manhandled, she woke up furious and cried, "I want to call off the wedding!"

The beauty smiled. "Not a chance."

·

The delicate flower had turned into a wolf. Song Miaoyun secretly summoned her parents and siblings, hoping to bully him with her family's influence. But then she heard:

"We pay our respects to Your Majesty. Long live the Emperor!"

Song Miaoyun: "...Can I still refuse to become empress? Asking urgently."

·

Yuan Zhao was framed by the empress dowager and thought he was doomed, but somehow he escaped death.

A spoiled young woman saved him because of his face.

As she cared for him and kept him company, Yuan Zhao was troubled every day by one question: How could he make the young woman like him a little less?

Later, when Yuan Zhao realized he had been imagining things, he could hardly believe it: So she really only likes my face???

·

But liking his face wasn't enough. He wanted her to love him with all her heart.

Bonus scene:

Song Miaoyun: "You said you were born to a concubine!"

Yuan Zhao: "I am."

Song Miaoyun: "...And you said you had no family!"

Yuan Zhao: "I do."

Song Miaoyun: "...Then why didn't you say you were the Emperor?!"

Yuan Zhao: "Miaomiao never asked."

Song Miaoyun: "(≥皿≤#)!!"
