Jade Edict

Blurb One:

Rumor has it that the Jade Edict is in the hands of the Li family in the capital.

At once, undercurrents stirred and forces from every side rose up. Open and covert struggles raged, and the dispute seemed endless. Yet whenever anyone asked about the Jade Edict, the Li family gave a firm answer: there was no such thing.

The Jade Edict, however, was shrouded in mystery. Rumors about it spread among children and common folk, but the people it put under pressure were inside the imperial palace. The Li family did not avoid the subject. Instead, they invited people to visit their home and personally demonstrated that the fabled treasure that could cure every illness did not exist.

Blurb Two:

Later, the fifth young lady of the Li family married the young master of the Su family. Their wedding set the capital abuzz with speculation. Everyone thought the Su family's young master was determined to get the Jade Edict.

As it turned out, what he was determined to win was the heart of the fifth young lady of the Li family.

The fifth young lady was frail and sickly, or so the outside world insistently claimed. Yet after the turmoil was over, her illness was suddenly cured overnight.

One day, the young master of the Su family sat in a tree, gazing at the fifth young lady of the Li family with so much love in his eyes that it seemed ready to spill over. She looked up at him, her eyes full of him.

"I knew you were destined to be extraordinary!"

"Destined for what?"

"Destined to be mine."

The female lead acts like a pushover while secretly being formidable, and she was never sick at all. The male lead seems like a little lamb but is really a big tiger, with a dark side. Together, they make a life, weather every hardship, and fall in love.
