[Please add my new story, From a Bib to a Wedding Dress, to your reading list QAQ]
Shu Yi, a highly accomplished graduate with dual degrees in Brainstorm Sociology and Brainstorm Development, is assigned an important task by her supervisor on her very first day at work: test how several troublesome new brainstorm worlds function and promptly report any bugs.
When she sees the information on these new brainstorms, Shu Yi feels as though she's been struck in the chest and knees...
Why are they all deranged brainstorms full of melodramatic, dog-blood romances!? Is there something wrong with the R&D department's brains?
Not only is the heroine in every world named Shu Yi, but there are all sorts of problems: tangled logic, plots going off the rails, and details that don't stand up to scrutiny. The R&D department must really have something wrong with its brains to approve brainstorms like these!
When Shu Yi enters the brainstorm worlds and takes the place of the original heroine, she plans to diligently follow the plot, faithfully report bugs, and conscientiously complete her tasks. But then she discovers that the biggest bug is the male lead?!
The cold, ruthless domineering CEO turns into a warm-hearted man. The philandering, faithless tycoon from the Republican era treats her differently. The lofty, powerful business magnate is practically a henpecked husband!
Shu Yi: Main Brain, I think there's a pretty serious bug in the male lead. This world is about to collapse.
The Main Brain stays as steady as an old dog: Don't panic. It's no big deal.
Also known as: The Tragic Romance Heroine Diligently Follows the Script; The Male Lead Doesn't Follow the Script; The Heroine Has Too Many Scenes; How Do You Fix a Brain with a Hole in It? Asking Urgently; So Corny Pickup Lines Actually Have This Incredible Use!
1. Cold outside, warm inside domineering CEO VS beautiful contract lover secretly born rich
2. Republican-era big shot who married a whole houseful of substitutes for his unattainable first love VS Sixth Concubine, who spends all day playing mahjong and knows she's the original first-love substitute but won't say a word
3. Flashy, domineering CEO who's even more domineering than the first VS wealthy young wife who dreams of becoming a movie queen and works hard to build her career
4. Main world (the future): mysterious top-tier big shot VS highly accomplished newcomer in the workplace
Each world also has a Main Brain who has two faces, is not what they seem, and loves to steal the show.
[Reading Guide]
1. One-on-one romance, both are each other's first.
2. This is an alternate setting with lots of made-up details. Please don't nitpick the facts. Read for fun, and feel free to point out anything that makes absolutely no sense.
3. Don't confuse each world's original setting with the plot that unfolds in the story. After all, this is a tale of characters going out of character and plots going off the rails.
Theme: Unconventional imagination can create wonderful worlds unlike any other.
