I Can't Solve This Problem

■ The deaf school heartthrob × the asthmatic school bully When Xia Tingsui was six, a great fire broke out at the Xia residence. He was trapped in a second-floor attic as smoke billowed and flames roared. In a daze, he saw a slender, beautiful figure push aside the broken wood and emerge against the blaze. Only later did he learn that the boy was Ye Xian, the chauffeur's son, and the same age as him. From then on, his lifesaver became the childhood friend who was always by his side. Ye Xian made medicine for him, warmed his hands, washed his shoes and socks, and carried him home when he fell asleep after school. Before the Xia family went bankrupt, he and his childhood friend went their separate ways. The once-privileged young heir, now down on his luck, took his ten-million inheritance and transferred alone to a high school in a small county town. Little by little, he forgot that boy. * Xia Tingsui was handsome, came from a mysterious family, and had a capricious temperament. Before long, he made a name for himself at No. 7 High School. For two years running, he topped the school forum poll for the most wanted school bully to date. Yet this arrogant problem student, feared by teachers and classmates alike, was once spotted after beating a group of punks. He had collapsed against a wall, exhausted, his eyes red at the corners as he panted and bit down on the inhaler he kept in his schoolbag. Xia Tingsui later learned that the person who saw him in that state was the new transfer student in Class Three. That boy wasn't just handsome. He was also top of the year every time, won award after award in competitions, and had a steady temperament. He never got into fights. Even with hearing aids, he still managed to make the class belle, who had a crush on Xia Tingsui, fall for him and switch sides. Fuming, Xia Tingsui cornered him in an alley after school. "Call me big brother." He pinched the other boy's hearing aid. "Say it nicely, and I'll consider letting you off today." Who could have guessed that even without sound, the transfer student would keep his eyes fixed on Xia Tingsui's lips, missing not a single movement? "If you don't say it nicely..." Before Xia Tingsui could react to the ominous feeling, his wrist was pinned back. The boy's breath brushed his neck as his fingers tightened. The usually cool and self-possessed school heartthrob spoke with rare, lazy ease. "Big brother, how exactly do you plan not to let me off?" * One day, a fire broke out in the science building. Students rushed down the stairs in a panic. Xia Tingsui leaned against the hallway wall, covered in cold sweat and coughing nonstop. A figure stopped in front of him, supporting his limp body. A cool palm pressed against the back of his neck. Xia Tingsui gasped in confusion as the other boy gathered him into his arms. In his daze, he heard a voice close to his ear: "A Sui." * School story, reunion after a long separation, childhood sweethearts * The love interest is hard of hearing and wears a hearing aid in one ear * One-on-one romance, happy ending Theme: 1
