What Could Our Junior Brother Be Up To? [Demon Slayer]

In the final moment before his death, Sabito never regretted trading his life for the lives of the other members of the Demon Slayer Corps. Even when the Hand Demon killed him, leaving his lingering spirit to wander around Mount Sagiri, he had no regrets.

The one person he could not leave behind was his junior disciple, Giyu Tomioka, whom he had risked his life to save.

Giyu became a powerful Water Hashira, but Sabito could see that his junior had become silent and cold, burdened by immense pain. Even though he seemed calm and rational, the festering wound in his heart had never healed, and he had never found salvation.

It was only after Giyu lost his right hand and could no longer wield a sword that he finally spoke of his greatest pain on Mount Sagiri.

"I don't deserve to be a Hashira."

Only then did Sabito realize he had been wrong. Giyu had never wanted to become a Hashira.

That had been Sabito's own obsession when he was still alive. Giyu had become a Hashira only to fulfill Sabito's dream.

When Sabito opened his eyes again, he was back at Urokodaki's home. He had met again the same dull, taciturn boy.

His Giyu.

This time, all he wanted was to protect Giyu's life and the future of the Demon Slayer Corps.
