A Heartless Daoist, a Lovesick Fool

A tragic past, devastatingly handsome, emotionally detached disciple gong x a peerless genius who is aloof on the outside and a goofball within. The shou master, Mo Xiangwan, talks himself into becoming a loyal, lovesick puppy.

Mo Xiangwan and the world are separated by a sea of blood and deep hatred. Before he was ten, he had already tasted every kind of hardship. As he grew older, an old scrap collector took him home as a grandson, where he barely had enough to eat. He changed his name and joined a sect to seek revenge, but his master was hopelessly unreliable, so he had to fend for himself. After years of struggle, he received help from a benefactor and finally avenged himself. Then came the stirrings of romance. The problem was, beneath the red wedding candles, with incense and wine and a bridal chamber, there was no beautiful bride, only his silly master.

1. Shou pursues gong; shou dotes on gong. A career-focused gong darling, and the plot may be a slow burn.

2. Reasonable plot suggestions are welcome. The gong and shou's character traits are not up for debate, and this pairing will not be split up or reversed.

Theme: The disciple follows the merciless Great Way, while the master digs pits and takes delight in hardship.
