Stars Within Reach

Li Chen was an emotionless Star Lord in charge of fate in the Ninth Heaven. But the first time he saw Lan Ci, he felt as though he had fallen under a spell.

He loved Lan Ci and gave him everything, never imagining that in the end he would be unable to protect the life of the person he loved.

The lowly immortal Lan Ci violated the laws of Heaven and was executed by the Heavenly Emperor in the Endless Sea.

A thousand years later, the two meet again. But the old friend before Li Chen is no longer the gentle, kind little immortal in his memories. He is now a great sorcerer of the demon clan, a ruthless killer who is skilled at beguiling hearts.

Only then does Li Chen realize that the love he had never been able to forget was nothing but a deception arranged by the other man to save his people.

It turns out his beloved never fell for him.

The story of Li Chen and Lan Ci from Waiting for an Old Friend in Wind and Snow.

Not sure when I'll start writing this, but I'll put up a coming-soon notice for now. The blurb and viewpoint are tentative. Most likely, both the gong and shou's perspectives will be included. Li Chen is the gong. A melodramatic story.
