I Carry a Netherworld with Me

Meng Chang'an graduates only to find herself unemployed, but by a twist of fate, she activates a God-Sealing System.

This isn't the Investiture of the Gods from the war between Shang and Zhou, where Jiang Ziya appointed the three hundred and sixty-five gods. It's a "God-Sealing List" that can capture vengeful ghosts, appoint ghost constables and ghost generals as deities, and restore order to the Underworld.

Looking at the ghost-infested mountain village, Meng Chang'an nearly cries. "I want to go back."

System: [You can go back, but first you have to kill a vicious ghost.]

Meng Chang'an immediately starts cursing. She's a fragile university student who studied architecture, with no strength to fight anyone. She can draw plans and build models with ease, but knows nothing about making talismans or driving out evil spirits. This is clearly making things difficult for her!

But the System is dead set on making her kill ghosts, so Meng Chang'an has no choice but to grit her teeth and get on with it.

In the end, she kills a vicious ghost with a peachwood hairpin, earning merit points and raising her reputation. She opens a passage between the two worlds and begins a life of hunting ghosts and becoming a god in another world, while making a fortune selling its goods in the real world.

As she keeps killing ghosts, Meng Chang'an suddenly discovers that one day the real world, too, has been shrouded in an ominous red glow. The bright moon turns blood-red, and horrors from another world descend.

Red-clad horrors, headless horrors, shadowless horrors, convenience-store horrors, and all kinds of disaster-class horrors with their own rules. Blue Star becomes a playground for these horrors. Countless people die across the nations, and some small countries are wiped out entirely.

This unprecedented paranormal catastrophe is an invasion of this world by another. Nations unleash their deepest reserves: crosses, shikigami, witches, undead, and the Trimurti, yet achieve little.

The Buddhist and Taoist sects of Great Xia join forces, while the safe zones shrink again and again. Meng Chang'an emerges with Hell at her back, fighting horrors with ghosts, suppressing the blood moon, restoring balance between yin and yang, and protecting all living things!

Meng Chang'an: I never imagined that one day the ghosts and monsters under my control would get another chance to be useful. This is amazing.

The ghosts and monsters in Hell: We're not human, but you're the real monster!
