Are You at It Again? [Esports]

[For updates on the print edition, follow @Shimiandian Deng] In his previous life, Shen Yanming was a hardworking, capable, but unlucky esports player. He was tricked into working for a second-rate knockoff team, and missed out on the world championship trophy time and again. In the end, an accident brought his career to a premature end. One day, he was reborn. Since hard work hadn't helped anyway, Shen Yanming decided to let loose and stop trying so hard in this new life. He registered an ID called "I'm Messing Around Again" and started a livestream just to goof off. His fans all thought he was a clueless streamer with no real skill. Until one day, he was matched against a professional player using a smurf account. His fans were ready to watch Shen Yanming get crushed without knowing what was coming, but instead, he accidentally turned the tables and ground his opponent into the dirt. Fans: ... Shen Yanming, who had meant to hide his skill: Uh, I just got lucky. Sorry for beating you. - Fans asked Shen Yanming which professional player he admired most. Shen Yanming: God Kong, of course. My greatest wish is to have God Kong heal me. Fans: Then you won't get the chance in this life. Everyone knows God Kong hardly ever heals anyone except his regular teammates. Even in solo queue, he switches to a damage-dealing class. As they were talking, the famously aloof God Kong entered the livestream, sent him a huge gift, and left a message: Join my team. I'll be your personal healer. Shen Yanming and the fans: ... Later, Shen Yanming discovered that one after another, the dreams that had once been out of reach were coming true. He became the most famous rookie of the year and won so many championship trophies he could barely hold them all. ...He was also kissed until his legs went weak by his God Kong. One-on-one, happy ending, both reborn, sweet romance. The number-one healer on the national server, top x the sharp-tongued assassin, bottom. The characters are not based on real people. The bottom is always messing around and flirting shamelessly, while the top is serious and proper until the flirting sets him on fire. The game is made up, so you don't need to play it to follow the story. [Content warnings] 1. A romance set in the esports world, with plenty of relationship drama. Anyone looking for pure, passionate esports action is welcome to browse the no-romance section. 2. This is not a power fantasy about skyrocketing to fame and making a triumphant comeback. Neither the top nor the bottom is a perfect character. They have moments of confusion, doubt, and uncertainty, and will grow gradually. 3. The team includes an old-school otaku and a cross-dressing streamer. There is a lot of livestream and forum discussion, as well as plenty of current internet slang. If that bothers you, read with caution. Cover art thanks to @Yan Qian Wan Ren Tui Que Theme: Love and dreams regained after being lost are equally precious.
