"A beautiful old affair swept up in the dust and wind."
The second male lead takes the lead / He has been plotting this for a long time
"A dashing young nobleman from the capital x a gentle, classically beautiful woman"
Her useless boyfriend had gotten himself into trouble, and brought Chen Yang to ask his cousin for help.
In a Chinese-style private room lit by warm yellow ceiling lights, a group of well-known figures toasted the young man seated at the head of the table, dressed in a smoke-colored shirt.
On the little stage in the private room, the capital's foremost opera star was performing.
Below the stage, the man tapped his long fingers on the table, casually keeping time.
That was the first time Chen Yang met Zhou Yixun.
Her boyfriend said, "Brother Xun likes listening to opera. Our Yangyang can sing one for him, too."
That day, Chen Yang sang the joyous finale of The Phoenix Returns to Its Nest in a trembling voice: "This is how unpredictable life can be. Who would have thought we'd reunite today?"
Halfway through, she was told to stop.
She met Zhou Yixun's detached, mocking gaze. He leisurely lit a cigarette as he looked at her, then smiled, his voice as calm as water.
"You're that scared over something so small."
"Then don't go asking favors for other people."
Back then, Chen Yang didn't know that this wasn't the first time Zhou Yixun had seen her.
One-on-one, happy ending
