My next novel will be Borrowed Passage / He Is Like Last Night's Starlight
How did my spirited young man get through those noisy, tearing nights?
★ Unrequited love / Reunited after years apart / Dating show
[Brash, roguish, top-tier star singer x sensitive, gentle third-tier actress]
1.
Xue Siwan always remembered.
When they were young, Liang Yici was carefree, unruly, and wild.
At that year's school anniversary, in a pitch-dark, overcrowded field at midnight, the rebellious boy onstage ripped his shirt open.
Bold and uninhibited, he became an instant legend.
Countless girls loved him. Liang Yici did whatever he pleased, and she never saw him take anyone to heart.
Xue Siwan was an unknown nobody, but everywhere she went at Yilin University, she heard stories about him.
After the music ended and the crowd dispersed on the night of the school anniversary, Xue Siwan worked up the courage to tug on the boy's sleeve.
Her tightly clenched grip wrinkled the fabric, and her breath caught in her throat.
The faint smell of tobacco drew close. The boy turned back, a cigarette between his fingers.
"You? What a coincidence."
She had gathered all her courage to meet his lazy gaze, nearly blurting out what she wanted to say, when the wild boy spoke first.
He pointed at the person beside him, smiling.
"He wants to know if you'll give him your number."
2.
No one knew what had passed between them. It all came to an abrupt end when he disappeared from Yilin University.
They reunited on a dating show. By then, Liang Yici was at the height of his fame, while Xue Siwan was still unknown.
The couple they portrayed, a pair whose years of secret affection finally came to fruition, became an overnight sensation. Their shippers and his solo fans fought so fiercely that neither side could gain the upper hand.
Then one of his solo fans dug up an old interview where Xue Siwan was asked, "Have you ever had a crush on someone?"
In the video, she says she's ready to give up on that unrequited love that went nowhere. With red-rimmed eyes, she chokes out:
"I did have a crush on someone."
"But he never loved me. Not even once."
His solo fans celebrate their victory.
Everyone says they're worlds apart, and that this is just an act. How could Xue Siwan ever win the favor of someone born to shine?
3.
Until the livestream at the end of the show.
In an old street and alley, Liang Yici is about to take the stage and sing.
Only Xue Siwan flees at the last minute, hiding at the mouth of the alley and glancing back anxiously.
Her gaze unexpectedly meets that of the man looking down at her, determined to have her.
That day, everyone sees the popular top-tier star, who has always seemed carefree and unfeeling, grab the girl's pale wrist. He takes a deep breath, his voice hoarse and disbelieving in the night wind.
"Xue Siwan, have a little conscience."
"When did I ever say I didn't love you?"
★
"Aci, may your success and glory surpass even today."
"Aci, the light is just beyond the clouds."
One-on-one, both leads are each other's first and only. Happy ending.
The title comes from the song "I've Finally Dared to Think of You" by Lin Youjia.

[Please add my upcoming novel Borrowed Passage to your reading list!]
[Second male lead takes the lead / Long-planned pursuit]
A rich young man from the capital's social elite x a gentle, classical beauty
Her useless boyfriend gets into trouble and takes Chen Yang to ask his cousin for help.
In a wood-paneled private room lit by warm yellow lamps, a handful of well-known figures raise their glasses around the young man seated at the head of the table, wearing a smoke-colored shirt.
The capital's finest opera singer performs on the small stage in the private room.
Below, the man taps a long finger on the table, keeping time without a care.
That was the first time Chen Yang met Zhou Yixun.
Her boyfriend says, "Brother Xun likes listening to opera. Our Yangyang can sing for him too."
That day, Chen Yang's voice trembles as she sings. She's stopped halfway through.
Meeting Zhou Yixun's distant, mocking gaze, Chen Yang watches as he calmly lights a cigarette and speaks in a voice as flat as water.
"You're scared of something this small."
"Then don't go begging people for favors on someone else's behalf."
At the time, Chen Yang didn't know that it wasn't the first time Zhou Yixun had seen her.
My next novel will be a second-chance romance, He Is Like Last Night's Starlight. Please add it to your reading list!
"He is the brightest flame I have ever seen."
[Wild, rough-edged criminal police captain x gentle, ethereal ballet dancer]
They meet in 2008.
They reunite in 2015.
For seven years, she enjoys the evening breeze in Barcelona.
He races through the streets of Hong Kong hunting criminals, risking his life against them.
They reunite at a classmate's wedding. Chen Baizhao sits among the guests, smoking half a pack and greeting all their classmates with a smile, but he doesn't even look at He Shiman.
Everyone says he doesn't love her anymore.
Later, He Shiman is trapped in a performance venue engulfed in flames. The uniformed man risks his life to rush into the fire and pull her back from the brink of death.
She escapes without a scratch, but he spends two whole months in the hospital.
He Shiman will always remember that day in the smoke-filled inferno. She asks him if he's crazy, if he doesn't care about his life.
Chen Baizhao's eyes are bloodshot as he holds her tight and runs for the exit. Just before she passes out, she hears him grit out:
"I said I'd protect you, and I don't break my word."
"I wrote you so many letters. Why didn't you ever write back?"
"There were too many cases. How would I have time for that kind of romantic nonsense?"
Only later does she discover hundreds of unsent letters in the bottom drawer of his cabinet.
The last one contains just a single line.
"If it were possible,
I'd give my life to He Shiman."
She looks at the date.
It was the year she fell off the stage.

Through countless nights when no one knew,
his longing had already carved itself into his flesh and bones.
Theme: Chase your dreams, grow up, and live well
I found it very boring and thought I wasted my money on it. I just read the first few chapters and thought it was not good.
Talking about boyfriend and girlfriend together with Qiao and then getting entangled with the male protagonist? (To put it bluntly, it kind of ruins the world view) Reconciliation and misunderstanding, misunderstanding and reconciliation again. This is a bad joke from how long ago.
If you want to read this article, please remember not to order it all at once. Is the author's writing good? If this was an essay competition, it would be really good. I wrote the scenery very well and used a lot of gorgeous words. But when it came to the narrative and emotions, the writing was really poor. They were not two crazy critics, but two split personalities. They were different from one moment to another, all depending on the author's mood. I don't know what the whole story has to do with the romance drama, nor do I feel how deep the bond between the male and female protagonists is. It all depends on the author's pale words. Anyway, if you want to waste time and emotions, you can read it.
Author, when are you going to fill in the gaps?
I want to see the extra story about Dr. Qiao and Xia Mingxing, and also, our Ah Ci and Dian Dian are so perfect for each other!!
Author, you have no heart! It's already January 27, 2023, and the hole has not been filled yet!
Is this what you want? Good water
When will the extra chapter be updated?
It started high and left low, but the rest was average and the ending was too hasty.
Congratulations on the completion! Looking forward to the publication of the physical book!!!
