[Suave, wicked, two-faced CEO vs. proper, poised, beautiful secretary]
Meng Yao, chief secretary of Haiqing Group, discovers that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her stepsister.
Betrayed in both love and family, she breaks up with him and boards a flight to San Francisco that very night to heal.
Her best friend is furious and insists on finding her a man ten thousand times better than that scumbag. Bye, bye, bye! The next one will be better!
In a foreign country, after a late-night dance club closes, Meng Yao runs into a man.
He has a strikingly handsome face and wears silver-rimmed glasses. He's languid, distinguished, and utterly captivating.
At her best friend's urging, Secretary Meng, who has spent more than twenty years living a prim, disciplined, serious life, throws caution to the wind to pursue him.
She wears a short skirt for him and gets a tattoo for him.
Then, dressed in a tight-fitting wetsuit, she takes his hand and asks, "Big brother, want to hear my heartbeat?"
When the man pins her against the wall and asks how she plans to take responsibility for what happened last night, Meng Yao realizes that she has gone way too far!
Meng Yao panics and catches a flight back home that very night. She blocks every one of the man's contact details and tells herself to think of it as just a fling.
Back home, Meng Yao returns to being the professional, prim, meticulous Secretary Meng.
Until the chairman brings his eldest son back to take over as CEO. At the welcome reception for the new CEO, the doors of the grand, minimalist office swing open one after another.
After giving a perfect ninety-degree bow, Meng Yao looks up to see the man, dressed in a suit and sitting with his legs crossed in an office chair, smiling as he greets her leisurely:
"Good morning, Secretary Meng."
Secretary Meng: Seriously, why is it him? The wild man I let loose and seduced is actually the big boss? What do I do? Can I still go die right now? :D
Meng Yao only learns that Zhong Zhihe is the company's heir and current CEO after finding out that he's also a distant cousin of her scumbag ex-boyfriend.
After their breakup, the scumbag doesn't change his ways. Even after getting together with her stepsister, he still thinks about Meng Yao and keeps popping back into her life from time to time.
One time, the scumbag is pestering Meng Yao when Zhong Zhihe happens to walk in. The man grabs Meng Yao by the wrist and says casually, "Your sister-in-law is busy."

[Rugged, roguish police captain x gentle, ethereal ballet dancer]
They met in 2008.
They reunited in 2015.
For seven years, she enjoyed the evening breeze in Barcelona.
He raced through Harbor City, chasing down criminals and risking his life in the process.
They reunite at a classmate's wedding. Chen Bozhao sits among the guests, smokes half a pack, and greets every classmate with a smile, but doesn't even look at He Shiman.
Everyone says he doesn't love her anymore.
Later, He Shiman is trapped at a performance venue engulfed in flames. A man in a police uniform risks his life to charge into the fire and drag her back from the brink of death.
She escapes without a scratch, but he spends two whole months in the hospital.
He Shiman will always remember the smoke-filled inferno that day. She asked him if he'd gone crazy, if he didn't care about his life.
Chen Bozhao's eyes were bloodshot as he held her and ran for dear life. Just before she fainted, she heard him grit out:
"I said I'd protect you. I don't break my word."
-
"I wrote you so many letters. Why didn't you ever reply?"
"There were too many cases. When would I have time for all that romantic nonsense?"
Only later did she find hundreds of unsent letters in the bottom drawer of his cabinet.
If I could,
I'd give my life to He Shiman.
On countless nights when no one knew,
his longing had already sunk into his flesh and bones.

Theme: When people are at their lowest, every step is uphill.
Good guy, ah, is this the end?? Just gone??
Ah, it's over. Okay, it's a little rushed (sad)
Ah, I feel like the story is endless. Why is it not over?
Ah, this chapter is really nonsensical, both the heroine and the second heroine
The ending is too hasty
This ending??? Are you so careless? You still want to watch the extras?
What kind of ending is this? I was caught off guard and speechless.
Was this ending unexpected?
The plot is strange. I was hit by a car near the hospital and couldn't go to the hospital. The woman was still so obedient, and the murderer's friend was still so arrogant. It felt like forced torture.
What kind of ending is this? It's not updated anymore.
