I Became the Male Lead's Assistant in a CEO Novel

What does a competent assistant in a CEO romance need to do?

Cover for the leads on their dates, endure the CEO's fury and the heroine's jealousy when the leads fight, and get up in the middle of the night to buy necessities when their passion runs high...

Behind every angst-filled CEO romance is an all-purpose assistant who's ready to brave anything and answer every call. Male assistants give romantic advice and lighten the mood; female assistants are infatuated with the male lead and become crucial catalysts for the leads' romance.

Assistant: When else am I supposed to ask for a raise? What's the point of being a doormat? Obviously, I should get paid, buy a villa, and keep a man!

Then the CEO gradually realizes that his sweet, obedient, timid, and considerate assistant, who used to follow his every step, has changed.

"I want all the information on xx in ten minutes."

"Of course, Mr. CEO." The assistant gives him a perfectly professional smile. "Emergency overtime costs triple."

"..."

Later, after a huge fight with the sweet, innocent heroine, the CEO tries to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Unable to put out the fire in his heart, he calls his assistant.

"Sorry, the number you have dialed is no longer in service..."

The CEO frantically searches his email and finally finds a resignation letter from a month ago.

[Bye, CEO. I'm off to chase the sea.]

A sudden idea. I haven't decided on the heroine's name or the other details yet. To be developed.

The CEO is not the male lead. The CEO will get his comeuppance, and the main story will probably be a romantic battleground.
