[Preorders open for My Fortune Comes from Good Food. Check it out if you’re interested~]
Lu Huai, who hasn’t been popular in three years, lands a variety show. Freshly out of his contract, he’s ready to focus on his career, but on the very first day he realizes one of the non-celebrity guests is his ex-boyfriend, whom he once stood up when they were supposed to meet in person.
Thinking back on what happened, Lu Huai feels a little guilty. He pretends nothing’s wrong and keeps his secret identity tightly under wraps. He absolutely cannot be found out.
But the day after the show airs, #NostalgiaCP shoots to the top of the trending searches.
Fan A: Aaaaaah! That guy is so handsome! Is my Lu Hua’er finally taken?!
Fan B: They bumped into each other, their hands touched! Is this the beginning of love?
Fan C: This guy even knows Lu Hua’er doesn’t eat potato chunks! He must have been paying attention to my Lu Hua’er for ages!

Lu Huai scrolls Weibo and curses: To hell with NostalgiaCP!
Then he clicks on the story and can’t stop reading.
As one episode after another airs, #NostalgiaCP stays at the top of the fan-ranking charts for several weeks in a row. At this rate, Lu Huai is sure to be found out, so he turns to his friend Song Yibai for help.
Song Yibai: Treasure this connection.
Lu Huai: Be reasonable. A good horse doesn’t eat the grass behind it. A gaming romance from three years ago is ancient history.
Later, Qin Sui slowly presses Lu Huai, whose eyes are red and whose face is full of indignation.
Qin Sui: “A gaming romance? Ancient history?”
Lu Huai protests: “It’s not ancient history. You’re just being too much!”
[Reading guide:
1. The gong is a doctor. The shou cut contact after something happened. 2. Lu Hua’er = Lu Huai. There may be a side couple. 3. I’m practicing my writing and pacing, so please be gentle. There are plenty of flaws, and I welcome feedback. 4. I had an accident while writing this book and the outline went off track, so some parts may not flow well. 5. Thank you for your support.]
A little promo for my upcoming historical danmei, My Fortune Comes from Good Food~
· Shen Zhuo gets into a car accident and wakes up transmigrated into the body of a fool with the same name, the same face, and the same surname as him.
On top of that, the fool has a speech impediment and lives in a village, where everyone calls him stupid and useless. They mock him and gossip about him.
Shen Zhuo: ...You had no problem eating the West Lake vinegar fish and eight-treasure duck, though.
Since he’s been given another chance at life, Shen Zhuo decides to make the most of it. Using the cooking skills he remembers, he wins over the gossips by way of their stomachs and opens his very own restaurant, Mountain Delicacies.
Shen Zhuo: “If I had a handsome man to hold in my arms, I’d have everything.” Then he becomes the one being held in his arms.
· Shen Zhuo gets stabbed the first time he meets Huo Yao, falls off a cliff the second time, and plunges into a river the third time.
Shen Zhuo: Whoever marries this Huo guy is going to have terrible luck for eight generations.
Much later, he stands in a bright red wedding robe, listening to the clamor of drums and gongs outside, his feelings complicated.
The unlucky one turned out to be me.
· Early one morning, the owner of Mountain Delicacies is in a terrible mood. As luck would have it, some clueless person shows up to cause trouble, claiming the ingredients aren’t fresh and threatening to report him to the Court of Judicial Review.
Shen Zhuo sneers. “Then go talk to the people at the Court of Judicial Review.”
He promptly throws Huo Yao, who slept in the study last night, right out the door, where he and the troublemaker stare at each other.
Huo Yao: “...”
By that evening, the whole capital is talking: the Minister of Justice upset his wife and got thrown out of the house.
Who could imagine that the icy-cold Lord Huo from the court would be knocking on his own door at night, coaxing Boss Shen? “A-Zhuo, open the door. I promise I won’t keep you up all night again.”
[Reading guide:
1. An alternate ancient setting where men can marry men. No historical nitpicking, just here to indulge in food. 2. One-on-one, happy ending, updated daily. Please be gentle about the writing~ 3. Please support the official release~]
Theme: Stay true to yourself.
This book is pretty good (at least what I can read here is pretty good). The only regret is that everyone who enters or is somewhat famous will be hacked without any surprise. The world is very dark, capitalists are inhumane, and everyone seems to be full of malice towards another person who does not know each other.
"I can't stand it if I keep yelling"?????)
One cup, a lifetime, I definitely didn't think wrong! (?????????)
! This Kang Huayi looks like there is something wrong with him
The subject matter is quite good. It would be even better if there were fewer typos and less fluent sentences.
"He" gave the author a big worm~ her
I always have a feeling that this chapter is somewhat torn from the previous one
Spread the flowers Spread the flowers Spread the flowers
Good looking, good looking, good looking
Why not pursue it? Do you understand attempted murder? At least pay compensation.
