Wangchuan Pavilion: Strange Tales of Ghosts

(An old, early-days disaster from when I posted in the wrong category. I just want to put it up and give it a chance to grow. Enter at your own risk!!!)

[One]

The Wangchuan Pavilion stands apart from the world. You may pass by without ever noticing it, but it will surely draw you in when you need it. There, you can see souls, travel to hell, and look into the stories of people's lives.

Xu Chu has kept watch over the Wangchuan Pavilion for hundreds of years. Everything had always been peaceful, but she didn't know that, from some day onward, the past would gradually be brought up again and the answers to the mysteries would soon come to light.

Was it an accidental massacre of a family, or a conspiracy planned long in advance?

No one knew. No one could answer.

Everything was already over, so why was it being brought to light again now?

Xu Chu didn't know, and didn't want to know. Hundreds of years had worn away her rough edges and dulled her emotions. With a heart as still as water, she lived calmly and found a peaceful life.

[Two] Bai Ruoli gazed at Gu Youjin, sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed in the Frozen Hell, anxious and troubled.

That was his second younger brother.

He thought again of Xu Chu, the cheerful, laughing little girl she had been hundreds of years ago, and felt guilty and uneasy.

Youjin, it's been hundreds of years.

Has it? I don't know. I've lost count of the days.

Do you want to get out?

I don't know.

But I want you to get out now.

All right.

The sudden change in tone made Xu Chu turn around without thinking. Youjin was propping up his head behind her, smiling wickedly, with a hint of teasing in his eyes.

Jin Yuan had come out.
