The Regent's Princess Consort

Su Shengwan is beautiful, with delicate brows and luminous skin. From childhood, she has loved her cousin, the emperor. After her aunt and half-sister ruin her virtue, she has no choice but to marry Shen Junhe, the icy Regent Prince who kills without blinking, while her half-sister marries her imperial cousin.

Shen Junhe is someone Su Shengwan hates. He is terribly stingy with her, allowing her to spend only ten thousand taels of gold a day.

Her imperial cousin promises Su Shengwan that if she helps him bring down the Regent Prince, Shen Junhe, he will make her empress. But Su Shengwan is too timid to agree.

Unexpectedly, that very night, Su Shengwan trips and dies.

Only after her death does she learn that her imperial cousin and half-sister had long been in cahoots and were responsible for her death. The Regent Prince, Shen Junhe, seizes the throne, kills her imperial cousin and half-sister, and posthumously honors Su Shengwan as empress.

Everyone says the new emperor is stern and cold-hearted. Only Su Shengwan knows that when Shen Junyao wakes from a dream, he often murmurs her childhood nickname.

Reborn, Su Shengwan decides to dote on the "stingy" Shen Junhe.
