Back to 1990: Criminal Investigation

Reborn at seventeen, Ding Chong has lost half of his memories from his previous life. Soon after arriving, he nearly loses his life, then becomes a murder suspect. But Ding Chong doesn't get discouraged. Given another chance at life, he wants to be positive and happy. To prove his innocence, he investigates the case himself, digging up secrets buried for years, and discovers a secret of his own...

A new neighbor moves in next door, and everything Ding Chong encounters after being reborn seems connected to him. The man constantly picks fights with Ding Chong and makes no effort to hide his feelings.

Ding Chong can't figure out why this stranger keeps holding a grudge against him, so he often asks, “Why do you hate me?”

Leng Jiucheng doesn't answer, so he keeps asking, once, twice, three times...

Finally, Leng Jiucheng catches on. He leans close to Ding Chong's ear and says, “Now I like you.”
