After graduating, engineer Xie came to California and worked diligently, unexpectedly getting half-coaxed and half-tricked by the old professor she had trusted for years into taking part in LIGO's gravitational-wave detection project.
At her new workplace, the staff introduced themselves to one another. The person standing across from her looked terribly familiar. Xie Yiheng smiled just right and extended her hand with easy grace, while a Category 12 hurricane raged inside her: I just ran into my ex from my student days in Pasadena.
At sixteen, Xie Yiheng thought that once she crossed the national border and arrived in this country at latitude 43 degrees north, she could finally wave goodbye to all her pain without looking back.
Little did she know that the Earth was round. After ten revolutions around the sun, everything had returned to its starting point, and she and Pei Che had found their way back to each other.
“I once wanted to devote my whole life to this field, which had reached a dead end. I only hoped to do my part and add a brick to that great edifice.
But after meeting you, I realized for the first time that this long journey through the stars ought to have a companion.”
Pei Che lowered his head. His nose brushed against hers, and he kissed her with near-reverence. “And you are the only companion I want.”
Tips:
1. One-on-one romance, happy ending.
2. The author is a savage. If you insult me, I'll insult you back.
3. All sources come from the official LIGO website and papers published by partner universities. Citations are in MLA 8 format.

Before moving, Jiang Fei was repeatedly reminded to get along with her new big brother.
She agreed halfheartedly. When they met, she found her new big brother wearing a chilly expression. He greeted her without a trace of emotion: “Hello, little sister.”
Jiang Zhai took her for a Cinderella hoping to marry into money and didn't want to deal with her at all.
Looking at the family's financial report for the quarter, Jiang Fei could only think that the man was crazy.
She thought the two of them would never speak again. But while they were traveling in Cape Town, someone with them said to him, “Your sister is pretty, but her name is a bit tacky.”
Jiang Fei was so furious she nearly hit them, but then she heard the brother who supposedly disliked her say, “It's not tacky at all. The Fei in her name isn't the one in ‘waxlight shining over half the jade-green kingfisher feathers,’ but the one in ‘like a kingfisher spreading its wings.’”
She wasn't some cold, priceless piece of jade. She was a vivid, lively beauty, as if she'd stepped out of an ancient book.

At a winery in Stellenbosch, Jiang Fei asked him very seriously, “Big brother, do you know what happened when Dias came to the Cape of Good Hope for the second time?”
Jiang Zhai ground his teeth. “He died.”
She nodded solemnly. “Good. You understand what that means.”
At latitude 33 degrees 55 minutes south and longitude 18 degrees 25 minutes east, in Cape Town, South Africa's second-largest city, they met again.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to miss the person I fell in love with when I was sixteen.
I finished reading it in one sitting, looking forward to the next one!
Dear author, please keep writing. As a newbie in scientific research, I need a lot of literary stimulation!
The first time I read this book was when I was a freshman in high school. Now that my freshman year is almost over, this is the fifth time I have read it... I am still romantically moved by this book forever. Thank you to the author for bringing us such a good story🥹
Very, very well written! Lots and lots of love! Is it possible to change the name of this book? I have missed this book many times because I thought it was about a teacher-student romance when I saw the name, so I was so scared that I immediately wrote it off... Who knew it was about two professors falling in love? Qaq
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so happy
I just saw a hot search and the new list of Nobel Prize winners in Physics came out.
When will it be updated?
This is an article worth reading every word carefully, and worth reading twice to discover the details! Come on, Mrs. Author!
I read it in one go, looking forward to the next one.
