[The Lord of the Rings: The Hobbit] The Star Tracks Never End

Long afterward, An Lin returned from Middle-earth to Valinor. Iluvatar welcomed them and asked about their life in Middle-earth.

An Lin (counting on her fingers): Messed with the Book of Ma Yun, took down the dragon Shigerifinchi, and finally became the Fellowship's exclusive healer in the Battle of Five Armies...

Thranduil: Ahem.

An Lin: Ah, and married my adorable little elf.

Legolas has been in a foul mood lately because his wingman said he was terrible at dancing.

“Don't dance the tango,” An Lin said. “It gives off way too much of a mating vibe.”

The key was that the King of Mirkwood heard her too, and agreed without hesitation.

Little Leaf got even angrier and said pointedly, “Hmph. Ada doesn't love me anymore. Go love that elf who talks behind my back!”

To which the elf in question replied, “Just what I had in mind.”

But when this story begins in the Second Age, things don't seem quite so easy.

An Lin gave the certain elf who was exploiting her an impeccable smile and flashed him a dazzling middle finger~

“Sorry, I'll do it again next time, hahaha.”

“What can I offer to make you stay? A dark forest where the sky is nowhere to be seen, a sunset of despair, a river in tears, or a heart that has burned a thousand times over?”

“Stay with me until the moon sets, An Lin.”

“Okay.”

Theme: As long as life goes on, so does the pursuit.
