Did You Have a Lemon?

Back in middle school,

Jiang Jiazhi got into a fight, and Lin Jiayu happened to be there.

She was huddled in a shadowy corner of an alley when a sudden cold gust made her sneeze.

The scene fell silent. With his back to the streetlight, the boy asked hoarsely, "Who's there?"

Panicking, Lin Jiayu gave him her childhood nickname: "Lin Mengmeng."

Jiang Jiazhi was distracted, giving his opponent the upper hand and earning himself a thorough beating.

In high school,

Lin Jiayu ran into a pervert on her way home from school.

Jiang Jiazhi stepped in front of her and took a knife meant for her.

The blade pierced his arm, but luckily missed anything vital, so he wasn't seriously hurt.

Later, after Jiang Jiazhi was discharged from the hospital,

he cornered her at a bend in the school corridor. With an offhand smile and a direct, malicious gaze, he asked, "Which Meng? The one in lemon?"

Lin Jiayu thought for a moment, then said, "Maybe the Meng in 'broom spirit that came to life.'"

Jiang Jiazhi seemed to be the most untouchable person in class, but it turned out he was an outcast.

He was cold, withdrawn, and mean, but no one knew he only fought because those people had smeared his father.

A hero who fought criminals, only to tragically lose his life.
