The Concubine Ran Away

The young master of the Lu family is so ill he is on the verge of death, yet the fortune-teller dares to claim that a marriage to bring him good luck can save him.

The Lu family searches for matchmakers all night and knocks on dozens of doors, but not a single young woman is willing to marry into the family.

With no other choice, Shen Qing, a low-born but handsome young man, is brought into the Lu household as a concubine.

On the day of the wedding, Shen Qing's cheeks are faintly flushed and his figure is delicate and timid. Each word he speaks is softer than the one before, like a fragile little white flower in need of care.

The young master of the Lu family can only swallow the gloomy, irritable "Get out" on the tip of his tongue.

A year later, whether the fortune-teller was right or the young master of the Lu family was simply blessed, his serious illness gradually begins to improve.

But just then, his sweet, obedient concubine, who had always stayed by his bedside, leaves behind a letter and runs away.

Remembering how frail and boneless his concubine had always seemed, the young master worries that she will be bullied out there alone. He goes to great lengths to find her,

only to spot a "shrew" on the street with the same name, the same face, and the same everything, chasing a gang of thugs down the road with a wooden club.

Young Master Lu, hesitantly: "Qingqing? Are you Shen Qing? How about... we go home first and talk?"

This is the story of a heroine who swindles people for money and a hero whose heart is stolen.
