[Book Transmigration] Why Hasn't the Devil Signed the Contract Yet?

Version One

When Vagna opened her eyes, she was lying on the floor of an alchemy lab, with something bubbling away in a flask.

A scholar who called himself Faust helped her up, his face full of disdain.

She had transmigrated into a fanfiction of Goethe's Faust.

She decided she would make a pact with the Devil before the protagonist did, win over Mephistopheles, the Devil she'd loved in her previous life, and...

What? He can't make a pact???

And he thinks she's someone else??

...But she'd already prepared her very soul!

Version Two

The day he was created was the very day the angels fell from Heaven. He fell into Hell alongside Satan, and from then on became a devil who traded for human souls and amused himself in the mortal world.

Then one day, a human woman offered to make a pact with him, trading her soul for his love.

"Devils cannot love," he said. "But I swore in Satan's name that you would be my master."

He knelt before her on one knee.

But if a devil cannot love, then what was this painful yet sweet sensation in his chest?

And what was the reflection of her smile in his eyes?
