During the reign of Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song, Lu Junyi, the Jade Unicorn of Hebei, was thrown into prison on charges of secretly colluding with Liangshan. His sworn son, Yan Qing, the Wandering Prodigal, caused a commotion at the Heavenly Beyond Tower in the capital, Bianliang, and startled the emperor. Later, he was captured after Liang Zhongshu of Daming Prefecture laid a trap for him. Shi Qian, the Flea on the Drum of Liangshan, first stole the national treasure, a purple-gold pot, from Kui Xing Pavilion. The pot had been stolen from the White Tiger Hall by Cui Daocheng, the Iron Buddha, and Shi Qian's actions caused trouble at the Heavenly Beyond Tower. Unable to join Liangshan when he sought refuge there to save Yan Qing, he was later drugged at Feilong Temple. The purple-gold pot was recovered, only to be lost again, but he met the strategist Wu Yong and Li Kui, the Black Whirlwind, and finally joined Liangshan. The story begins after Liangshan discusses rescuing Lu Junyi and Yan Qing, makes plans in Daming Prefecture, and posts notices, following Shi Qian's nighttime exploration of Cuiyun Tower.
The little white mouse, a master thief from Daming Prefecture, steals the jade scepter kept in the residence of Liang Zhongshu. While fleeing, he runs into Shi Qian. At the same time, the Liangshan heroes are preparing to wreak havoc in Daming Prefecture, setting this story in motion.
Although this is called a Water Margin fanfic, it is actually based more on the storytelling tradition of the Liangshan Marsh tales, and many of its details differ considerably from the original Water Margin. I'll do my best to explain the setting in the story. The original heroine does not transmigrate, and the leads are sworn siblings. The heroine's love interest will appear later. I'm trying to imitate a style resembling traditional oral storytelling. I wrote this because I hope more people will listen to the Liangshan Marsh stories. If you find this novel at all interesting, I hope you'll listen to the original tales; they're wonderful. Even if you don't think my novel is very good, I still hope you'll listen to the original tales. They're much more exciting than anything I could write.
This is a chapter novel! I can still write articles like this now. The author's skills are quite deep. ^_^ Give you a thumbs up and show your appreciation?
The author's writing has never let me down
