Every Day I Wait for the Prince to Break Off Our Engagement

At the beginning of late spring, Prince Jin returned victorious from war, carrying an imperial edict of betrothal and gifts of engagement to the Gu family home.

Everyone said Prince Jin was in love with the Gu family's eldest daughter, Gu Anrou. The rumor spread everywhere, and even Gu Antao, the younger daughter who was supposed to marry him, believed it. Confused and trembling with fear, she thought she was taking her sister's place when she married into the prince's household.

When people heard the Gu family had sent the wrong daughter, they gleefully waited for the drama to unfold.

But as the days went by, Gu Antao wasn't sent away. And why had the prince, who usually stayed at the military camp year-round, started coming home every day?!

Even Gu Antao, who still hadn't figured things out after being married for so long, found it strange.

Wasn't she supposed to be a substitute bride? Could it be that the prince thought she was her sister's replacement?!

Yin Zhanwen watched his beloved little princess avoid him or come up with all kinds of excuses to reject him every day, and his expression darkened.

Little ungrateful thing. Didn't he spoil her enough?

A slow-to-warm, somewhat oblivious little princess x a powerful prince who's cold on the outside and warm on the inside

P.S. The male lead is so exasperated he's always on the verge of turning cruel, while the female lead is unconsciously an expert at soothing him.
