Hey, Kid, You There? I'm So Broke I Can't Sleep

[Advance Release Announcement]

This novel will go premium on April 18, when 10,000 words will be released.

I hope you'll keep supporting me just as you always have! Mwah, love you all!

Hey, everyone! My name is Asahina Hongling. My dad is an ordinary Italian guy, and my mom is an ordinary woman who's been divorced several times.

After they divorced, I was assigned to live with Dad, and from then on I led a poor life with frequent moves. When I was in my third year of junior high, my unreliable dad sent me back to my mom, who had remarried, and earnestly instructed me to keep a low profile and be reserved in the big city and at my new school. Hide my brilliance in plain sight.

But...

I was still too young to know that some things will come crashing into you even if you're completely ordinary and unremarkable. They seem to have automatic homing systems, and there's no dodging them. For example:

1. My dad's friend, a homeroom teacher who worries every day that he'll cause a major teaching disaster and get fired.

2. A strange employer who's very generous with money, but whose personality suddenly changes one day.

3. The class culture committee member who wants to switch places with an outstanding classmate, accidentally switches with me instead, and then inexplicably clings to me.

4. The culture committee member's distant cousin, who can see things ordinary people can't and is often bullied by others because of it.

5. The hot-tempered discipline committee member who beats me up every time I go to the neighboring town.

6. A "zashiki-warashi" who I don't know at all, but who seems to know me very well.

7-21. The twelve older brothers who looked after me when I was little, the younger brother who was born after I left, and the daughter my mother's new husband brought along after they remarried.

Asahina Hongling, who gets by collecting protection money in Chiba, wept poverty-stricken tears:

Big Sis Kyoko, I can't collect protection money from them!

A heads-up: The female supporting character Yuuki Chizuki is on the heroine's side, and will remain unwaveringly loyal to her. There are plot twists. If that's not to your taste, feel free to leave using the top-right corner. I love my characters, and I like every character in this story. If you don't have the patience to read on, there's no need to force yourself. I've already written a third of the novel, so I'm not changing the outline.

Theme: A healthy outlook on love
