Burning

Song Ci once thought a lifetime was long, long enough for them to get past the seven-year itch. The passion and affection they once shared had become dull and tasteless.

Until one day, Qi Chen died.

Only then did Song Ci realize that something vibrant seemed to be slowly withering away, dissolving into a handful of smoldering ashes.

A melodramatic story, written on a whim as practice. It's short, and updates whenever inspiration strikes.
