Those Years My Archenemy Coveted Me

Song Shu is the grandniece of the Empress Dowager and the beloved granddaughter of Grand Tutor Song. With bright eyes, pearly teeth, and skin as smooth as jade, she is not only the most talented woman in the Great Kang Dynasty, but also the object of many young men's admiration.

Everyone praises her as refined, well-mannered, and tactful. The only exception is Lu Shen, toward whom she is always cold.

Everyone in the capital knows that Lu Shen and Song Shu can't stand each other. Neither can bear the sight of the other.

Whenever Lu Shen is around, Song Shu avoids him whenever possible.

An imperial decree grants them a marriage, turning sworn enemies into betrothed spouses.

Those who don't know the truth tease Lu Shen: "Young Master Lu, how does it feel to be forced into marriage?"

The others laugh, and Lu Shen laughs too.

No one knows that he was the one who begged for the decree. Ever since he was old enough to understand such things, he had dreamed of her countless times in the middle of the night.

On their wedding day, Lu Shen and Song Shu sit facing each other.

Song Shu: "You don't like me, and I don't like you. How about we just pretend to be married?"

Lu Shen: ...

Song Shu hesitates, then continues: "If that's not acceptable, you can also divorce me on the grounds that we have no children, but you have to..."

Song Shu cries out in surprise as Lu Shen seals her lips with a kiss. The room fills with passion.
