The Unusual Divine Life of a Yokohama Writer

Let me recommend my upcoming story!

The Romance of the Detective and Tokusatsu World

Question: If you could travel back in time, when would you go?

Kurosawa Yui: Thanks for asking. The summer I was fourteen.

I would firmly refuse my guardian's invitation and find my red-haired friend who was still in the Mafia, and get him to become a novelist early.

Then I wouldn't have the embarrassing title "The Chronicler of Yokohama's Past and Future," nor would readers kidnap me on the grounds of "making her stop going on hiatus."

And I wouldn't be confronting a foreign vagrant in a ballroom one moment, then arriving in Izumo for my own apotheosis ceremony the next.

Oh, I almost forgot. I'd also tell a friend surnamed Ito:

Since you're never going to be a top manga artist, accept Tomie's love with grace, or admit that the handsome boy at the crossroads is your son.

Being a freeloader would be better than being chased by Dusk and Night because I wrote The Stern Assassin and the Bratty Doctor and Yokohama's Legends and Her Three Men.

After all, our school isn't exactly full of devils [cold laugh].

Pairing: Bandage Freak. A parallel universe to the story next door, Dazai, This Is a Curse.

Plot-focused. In the early chapters, the male lead appears less often than Chuuya.

[Upcoming Story Blurb] The Romance of the Detective and Tokusatsu World

I'm Kibon, a self-aware background character. I hope to spend my life with every boyfriend, but unfortunately they're either criminals or victims who die.

After a long string of failed relationships, I finally resolved to find someone who was unlikely to be arrested or become a victim. When my acquaintances heard the news, they enthusiastically recommended their top candidates.

From a pediatrician who often trips on flat ground, to a fantasy novelist wielding a holy sword, to the hard-boiled detective of Fuuto... and even eager volunteers like a bandage enthusiast and a manga artist from Morioh.

There were simply too many people, so we held a meet-and-greet at a cafe in Beika.

Everyone already knew one another, so the conversation was fairly pleasant.

But just as it was about to end, I realized this wasn't a Kamen Rider gathering, or a party for psychics and Stand users. It was a matchmaking event centered on me.

Watching the successful romances between the childhood friends around me, I finally understood.

"Akemi, will you go out with me?"

At that moment, the golden-haired childhood friend who had always believed in their childhood promise crushed the teacup he was washing.

Theme: Bright sunshine will eventually reach even the darkest corners. As long as we don't give up and persevere, we can make it happen
