The Whole World Thinks We're Madly in Love

[Complete]

Xu Congxia returned to the country quietly.

Though he had once been the undisputed visual of the popular boy band Blossom, he firmly believed that, given how quickly the entertainment industry changed, no passerby would recognize him in a mask after he'd been out of the business for five years.

As it turned out, he hadn't even made it out of the airport before running into a crowd of fans there to pick up Cheng Huaiyu.

Cheng Huaiyu was currently the entertainment industry's undisputed top-tier star, and Xu Congxia's former bandmate.

They hadn't seen each other in five years, ever since the group disbanded. Now they were face-to-face in front of the fans, and Cheng Huaiyu walked over and politely asked, "Want a ride?"

Before Xu Congxia could react, the fans were already screaming.

"Oh my god! It's the Congyu CP I used to ship!"

"It's Huai-Xia!!"

"My dead Encounter CP has suddenly come back to attack me."

"They have to be real!!! Do you even know how much the 'Law' CP is worth?"

Xu Congxia: ...

Surrounded by fans, he had no choice but to follow the "kind" Cheng Huaiyu. This kind soul even went out of his way to drop him off at his destination, as though they'd always been perfectly polite to each other.

Before the day was over, Xu Congxia was trending. His dream of quietly returning to the country had been shattered.

The whole world was shouting that the two of them were real.

The problem was...

He and Cheng Huaiyu had been broken up for five years.

And it had ended badly.

Reader's Guide:

1. This story is not based on real people.

2. The author doesn't know much about the entertainment industry. I asked a lot of people before starting, but there are definitely things that don't match reality. Don't read it as a stand-in for real people, and don't argue. If you don't like it, just click X and close the page.

3. This is a return-to-writing project. My goal is to keep updating, though I can't promise I'll manage it.
