Flowers Bloom Forever

Ming Sheng has two defining traits: she has no sense of direction, and she's obsessed with money.

Being obsessed with money means exactly what it sounds like: she treasures it above all else.

But she never imagined she would end up with the first person bold enough to talk money with her.

She often describes him with two idioms: shamelessly persistent, and far too old to know better.

He's truly persistent, and truly old.

Su Hualin also has two defining traits: he's cold and distant, and he's devoted.

He's genuinely cold and distant, and genuinely devoted.

For example, his double standards become all the more obvious when it comes to the person he loves most, Sheng Sheng.

On their wedding night, Ming Sheng "accidentally" ate a dumpling that wasn't fully cooked and complained, "You old geezer, this dumpling isn't cooked through."

Su Hualin understood at once. "You're right. It isn't cooked through."

Ming Sheng sounded a little displeased. "If it isn't cooked through, why did you let me eat it?"

Su Hualin explained at just the right moment, "Sheng Sheng, there's another way to say 'not cooked through': raw."

Ming Sheng wasn't satisfied with his answer. "So because it's raw, you can make me eat it? What kind of logic is that?"

Su Hualin: "..."

What else could he do? He could only explain in more detail, as tactfully as possible. "Sheng Sheng, here, 'raw' doesn't describe a state. It describes an action."

What action could 'raw' possibly describe...? Wait, Ming Sheng seemed to get it. Before she could speak, Su Hualin said, tenderly and devotedly, "Sheng Sheng, shall we make one?"

Ming Sheng's face turned bright red. She answered in a small voice, "Let's."
