Don't Be So Fierce [Esports]

(Main story complete)

DPL playoffs opener: star mid laner Yu Zhi suffers an unexpected loss, and the haters celebrate.

“Told you Princess Yu was just a pretty face, a useless ornament.”

“Which darling husband are you going to find to comfort you this time?”

“Wasn’t that your ex on the other team? How come he didn’t go easy on you?”

“Princess Yu, just retire. That bunch of husband fans will support you anyway.”

Yu Zhi vanished from public view. Then, on the night of the finals, news of his contract termination shot to the top of the trending charts.

After that, he announced he was starting his own team.

Haters: Sure, sure. A scumbag like you could never trick top players into joining your team.

Haters: Other than those idiot husband fans, I bet not a single player in the league would give you the time of day.

When the transfer window opened, the league’s top jungler, the strongest active top laner, the number one marksman on the national server, a standout rookie support, and the coach of a dark-horse team, all of whom everyone thought could never end up together, joined Yu Zhi’s team one after another.

Even Mr. Xi, the man who usually stayed behind the scenes, hinted that he had a high opinion of Yu Zhi.

The new team fought its way into the DPL and swept through the competition.

To thank his fans for their support, Yu Zhi took part in an official fan-service event where he replied to comments. To his surprise, the top comments were all from familiar haters.

He clicked through their profiles one by one. Every one of them still had a voting link pinned to their page, not yet deleted: #If every league player turned into a girl, which one would you most want to be your husband? I'm voting for Yu Zhi. Come join in!

Yu Zhi backed out and saw all those conspicuous loyal-fan labels. In front of the millions watching his livestream, he smiled and said, “Husband fans?”

“Get lost, you bastards.”

Haters: Is deleting our Weibo accounts still not enough?

Haters: Don't be so mean :-(

Fans dug up the team's members' likes on the poll. What do we do, honey? They're all your husband fans.

Yu Zhi smiled.

The next day, the team added a new rule: Husband fans and dogs are not allowed inside.

Xi Jiuchi, who had just dealt with his little boyfriend's first love, who was also his own son, stepped through the door with his left foot. With his right foot, in full view of everyone, he paused: ...Woof?

Ever since his debut, Yu Zhi had attracted countless male and female fans with his breathtaking looks. He was also widely known as the star player nobody dared to cross. Smiling sweetly, he asked, “What, are you a husband fan too?”

The powerful man hesitated. “Could I be a dad fan instead?”

“Oh.”

“You don't have a wife anymore.”

Xi Yan broke up with Yu Zhi and went abroad just before Yu Zhi's debut, then returned after Yu Zhi lost a match.

Back then, when Yu Zhi tried to stop him from leaving, Xi Yan had said coldly, “What can you do besides play games?”

Now, hoping to win him back, he had set aside his pride and begged Yu Zhi to accept his investment.

He cornered Yu Zhi in an underground parking garage, explaining and pleading.

“I broke up with you because my dad forced me to go abroad. He tore us apart.”

“My dad threatened your future to keep me from coming back.”

“I truly regret it.”

Yu Zhi was about to call him an idiot when Xi Jiuchi stepped out from behind him, pulled him into his arms, and held him tight.

With the air of a victor, he said to the stunned Xi Yan, “Show some respect.”

“He's mine now.”

A bowl of father-son rivalry, with a side of incestuous-sounding wordplay

Older, fatherly powerhouse seme × younger, bad-tempered princess uke

Please note:

1. The uke is loved by everyone. Both the main love interest and the disposable love interest are sexually inexperienced.

2. The son is adopted, and there is an age gap between the seme and uke.

3. The characters aren't based on real people, but the game draws on real references.

4. One-on-one romance, happy ending.

My next upcoming novel, “No Infinite-Game NPCs Allowed to Pose as Players.” If you're interested, please add it to your favorites!

Lin Shuyue is a marginal NPC in the horror game, a disposable character with breathtaking beauty, a delicate constitution, and a kind heart... Those are all part of his default settings.

In a world of indescribable horrors and strange phenomena, he's the pitiful little one everyone can pick on.

Though he's male, the story keeps casting Lin Shuyue in mother-like roles.

At the Rose Manor, he becomes the newlywed wife of the manor's master and “conceives” a terrifying entity, drawing strange looks from the players.

In Forgotten Fairy Tales, he takes in an abandoned ghost baby and raises it. While the players keep their distance, he cradles the horrifying child and gently rocks it to sleep...

Lin Shuyue is so harmless and beautiful that players entering each instance mistake him for one of their own. Instead of racking their brains to get rid of him as they do with other NPCs, they go out of their way to look after him.

“Shuyue, you can have this rare item.”

“You're so frail, you shouldn't take the night watch. I'll do it for you.”

“Xiaoyue, if there's danger, hide behind me. I'll protect you.”

“Please don't cry. You can have all my points.”

To stay alive and care for the monster cubs he'd found in the instances, Lin Shuyue had no choice but to pose as a player, even though he was an NPC.

The NPCs wouldn't hurt him, and the players doted on him. Before long, he'd easily reached the top of the points leaderboard.

Lin Shuyue, who was mooching food and shelter while raising monster cubs, lived in constant fear, keeping his secret identity hidden in case the players, who were growing more and more obsessed with him, discovered he was an NPC.

The horrors in the instances also always looked at him with terrifying eyes.

The monster cub he'd adopted was possessive, too, glaring fiercely at the other little monsters Lin Shuyue couldn't help caring for in the instances.

But Lin Shuyue continued to warm the horror game with his gentle love. Countless players who had fallen into despair and pain, along with the monsters trapped in endless cycles of pollution and mutation, had all been soothed by him.

They all saw him as the one light in the darkness.

His love nourished the world.

Please note:

1. The protagonist is stunningly beautiful and immensely charming, the ultimate saintly Mary Sue and Gary Stu.

2. The love interest is a split-off fragment. Both leads are sexually inexperienced, and this is a one-on-one romance.

Theme: Strive to be the champion of your own life.
