Even a Man-Eating Flower Needs a Hug [Interstellar]

A silly, savage, and adorable story.

Why does everyone else's contracted mutant beast turn out to be an animal, while his is a plant?

The man-eating flower sticks out its tongue. "Nah-nah-nah."

At the mutant-beast competition:

A fish hides in the water, waiting for a chance to attack the man-eating flower.

The man-eating flower: Sorry, that trick won't work on me.

Then it gulps down all the water.

The fish dies.

The man-eating flower is not the love interest. It's just a baby.

Just writing for fun. There's little romance, lots of personal worldbuilding, and no need to nitpick the details.
