My Blade Is Always Trying to Kill Its Master

My name is Asano Juri, and I'm panicking right now.

A few minutes ago, I picked up a sword someone had left by the roadside.

It calls itself a "Genji Treasure" and addresses me as "Master."

Apparently, one of my past lives was a powerful onmyoji named "Minamoto no Yorimitsu."

The sword spirit politely calls me Master, but the look in its eyes says it wants to kill me.

Most importantly, after I brought this wild sword spirit home, my other swords started plotting a rebellion.

"How I Finally Realized, Much Too Late, That I Had a Crush on My Childhood Friend"

Me, Shimizu Masaki, 28, office worker.

I've never managed to get a girlfriend. I'm very... ordinary corporate drudge.

My childhood friend, Ogen Shosazo, the same age, also an office worker.

Handsome, rich, and smart, very... popular.

I don't remember why I spent so many years growing up with this guy, then became his "close confidant." Anyway, by the time I realized what we were to each other, it had been a long time.

As for how I realized I had fallen for my childhood friend... that's a long story.

Anyway, when I decided to confess to him, I discovered something.

That guy was planning to kill me.

"Because I like you too much, Aki."

Me: ???

My childhood friend seems to have something seriously wrong with him.

Theme: Sincerity can only be repaid with sincerity. Genuine feelings are the only way to receive an equal response.
