[Prologue]
I thought everyone was as carefree and cheerful as I was. I never knew that ever since childhood, you had lived with only one hope. - Bi Ting
So this is what you meant by reuniting, Mother: now, our blood becomes plum blossoms, and when the plum blossoms bloom, we reunite in the underworld. - Du Long
Will you call for me when the plum blossoms bloom again? - Bi Ting
Plum blossoms bloom and fall, their fragrance and shadows lingering. I will spend my whole life tending one plum tree, and from now on, have no quarrel with the world.
A fanfic of the anime Xialan, featuring Du Long and Bi Ting. This pairing is incredibly niche, and the story isn't sweet.
The setting draws on the first six seasons of Xialan.
I've been regularly updating Xialan fanfics lately. So far, they're all short stories. I'm undecided about writing a long fanfic. These stories aren't sweet, really, they're not. There might be a little sweetness, but in the end, I'll always hand you a knife. Comments and corrections are welcome.
P.S. I'm a student, so updates depend on how heavy my coursework is. I promise the short stories won't take too long, and I'll do my best to finish them this week.
P.P.S. I'll start with three short fanfics. I'll be focusing on Xialan fanfiction for a while. If there's a character you'd like to read about, leave me a comment. I'll write it if I have time. That's all.
[Xialan] Fragments and Fading Words: A Note on Uncle Yao - A fanfic about Uncle Yao, sort of a pairing, Yun Yao
[Xialan] Dance of Plum Blossoms, My Love, Do Not Forget - A Du Long x Bi Ting fanfic. The pairing is unusual and barely reads as a pairing; it could just be friendship, and what it is depends on your imagination.
[Xialan] Fallen Blossoms in the Wind, Who Is Their Master? - A Wu Ma x Li Fei fanfic, with a clear pairing. A little sweetness at first, then a knife at the end.
Theme: Better to forget each other in the rivers and lakes than to cling to each other for survival
In just a hundred words, you can describe the helplessness and sadness of life.
Did the author's Chinese composition only lose one or two points? The writing and context are really great.
