[Naruto] After Failing to Replace Naruto's Heroine, I Finally Got It

My name is Qiuye Yuan, and I transmigrated. The System told me I had to earn the recognition of the main characters in Hokage to survive permanently in the perilous ninja world.

To survive permanently, I came up with a series of plans, all of them called "Becoming the Heroine of Hokage."

That's right, I was going to steal the heroine's position. I'd watched so many Hokage short videos that I knew exactly how to win the characters' affection, and I also had the comments to help me.

So...

I beat everyone to the punch, showed Naruto kindness, and became his good friend.

Then he said to me, "Yuan, I think I've fallen for Sakura-chan."

When the heroine was being bullied, I pretended to help her while getting close to Ino and becoming her best friend.

Then Ino said to me, "That girl is so cute. I want to be friends with her."

Before Sasuke's clan was wiped out, I got close to him and became his childhood friend.

Then one day, when he saw the heroine, I noticed his ears turning red.

I was speechless. Are you all being controlled by the plot?

[I'm new here. Who's the heroine?]

[Qiuye Yuan, obviously.]

[Huh? Qiuye Yuan is the heroine? I thought Sakura Haruno was, since both male leads like her.]

[The heroine isn't the only one male leads like. They can also like a dead first love. Maybe Sakura Haruno is that kind of character. Look at how useless the male lead is. He obviously needs a catalyst to grow.]

[Oh, right. Then why is Qiuye Yuan the heroine?]

[Probably because she gets a lot of screen time.]

Reading those comments, I was furious.

At least I was assigned to Team 7. I refused to believe that even this time I couldn't take the heroine's place.

And so my miserable life began.

Getting beaten, killed, and having my psychological defenses shattered became routine. Even worse, Kakashi-sensei favored the other two, and it felt as if a huge gulf separated me from Sasuke and Naruto. I could never get between them, forever stuck as the fourth wheel.

I finally understood.

Notes:

1. I have unrequited feelings for Sasuke, but there is no pairing for me.

2. Sakura Haruno will be adored to an extreme degree. Even when she isn't on Team 7, her legend is everywhere.

3. This was inspired by certain comments that spoiled the fun.

Theme: May the world be free of people who spoil the fun.
