I Love Being Your Favorite

One late night, Wen Zhi found herself a boyfriend on her way home from work.

At the time, Xiao Lin was covered in wounds and barely clinging to life, yet nothing could hide his breathtakingly handsome face. He was beautiful and pitiful.

Wen Zhi took meticulous care of him, tending to his every need.

To show his gratitude, Xiao Lin insisted on offering himself to her.

Her little boyfriend was thoughtful, too. Though poor, he was gentle, a warm and clingy puppy through and through.

The upper crust of the capital noticed that Xiao Lin, the eldest son of the immensely wealthy Xiao family, had been acting strangely lately.

His Patek Philippe had been replaced by a twenty-yuan watch from a street stall; his limited-edition Bugatti supercar had become a secondhand, pieced-together car; and even the most expensive thing he wore, an Armani outfit, was last year's outdated stock.

People started to suspect that the Xiao family was in financial trouble.

Xiao Lin scoffed and said nothing.

At a jewelry auction, Xiao Lin paid a staggering eighty million dollars for the star lot of the evening, a Tiffany blue diamond necklace, putting an end to everyone's ridiculous suspicions.

After the auction, Xiao Lin called Wen Zhi.

"Honey, I'm so broke lately. Can I come over and mooch a meal off you? I've got a present for you, too."

Everyone: "..."

Broke my ass.
