Reborn in the Nineties, Forced to Become a Top Student

In her previous life, Lu Xiaoci got into a prestigious high school, then fell into a ditch because she hadn't worn her glasses during evening study. She only lived to see her freshman year.

Reborn in this life, as soon as she gets into high school, she turns into a happy slacker. All she wants is to stay safe and scrape by until she can attend an ordinary university.

But... why is her handsome, tongue-tied neighbor, the top student, pressuring her to study hard and improve every day?

Top student Lu Xiaoci has regressed into underachiever Lu Xiaoci, successfully catching the attention of her classmate, He Yu.

Whenever he marvels at how easy math is, his underachieving neighbor manages to reach a whole new level of academic failure.

“Lu Xiaoci, 100 in math!”

“Lu Xiaoci, 86 in math!”

“Lu Xiaoci, 47 in math!”

“Lu Xiaoci...”

He Yu watches from the side, frustrated that she isn't living up to her potential: “Tutoring! You absolutely need tutoring!”

He Yu: “Math is so easy!”

Lu Xiaoci, spacing out: “Mm-hmm, you're right!” You're lying!

Who knows why math has to have this point P and that point O.

He Yu: “Stop daydreaming. Come here, I'll tutor you.”

Lu Xiaoci, alarmed: “No, I won't, I can't, I refuse!”

Why bother with tutoring? Aren't cute guys much better?

Lu Xiaoci, secretly hoping for a first love, makes it all the way to high school graduation without a single guy confessing to her.

Meanwhile, He Yu intercepts yet another love letter addressed to Lu Xiaoci.

Reading the sickly sweet words inside, he tears it up without a change in expression: “Is studying not fun, or is math not charming enough? Why date?”
