Mole Love

Stoic firefighter x beautiful reporter

A torrential rainstorm hits the city, triggering a red alert for extreme weather. Jiang Yan is sent out on an urgent interview assignment and gets trapped in a whirlpool with her taxi driver.

The hulking taxi driver starts sobbing in the car. Jiang Yan tries to comfort him to no avail, then shouts in exasperation, “Could you fucking stop crying?”

The driver shudders at her scolding, a string of snot still hanging from his nose. “Miss, you don't understand. I've got elderly parents to care for and young kids at home.”

Before long, several firefighters arrive, smash the window, and rescue them. Having made it through the ordeal alive, the driver is just about to give Jiang Yan an admiring thumbs-up.

Then he sees the unfazed woman from earlier tumble into the arms of a firefighter officer. “Waaah, Chu Chen, you don't know how hard the rain was, or how high the floodwaters got!”

Amid the rain, the man's handsome brows knit together. His voice is slightly hoarse. “Jiang Yan, get off me.”

#There is a mole behind Jiang Yan's ear. No one else knows about it. Only Chu Chen does.
