I Became My Master's Dark Moonlight

Bai Yuemian’s master is a snowdrift beyond the reach of anyone in the cultivation world. Cool and detached, with an immortal’s grace that leaves the dust of the world behind, he has captivated countless female cultivators.

But his eyes see only the Way, not romance.

Bai Yuemian likes her master, too.

Not with respect, not with admiration.

She loves him as a woman loves a man: she wants to cultivate with him in dual cultivation and share the pleasures of the bedchamber.

She tells her master how she feels. Her cool and self-possessed master listens, then rejects her.

He says she is young and doesn’t understand love, then expels her from the sect, telling her to take time to think things over.

Later, she hears that her master’s heart is bound by an obsession. He failed to ascend to the Mahayana realm and lost all his cultivation.

Just look at him. Once a snowdrift so far beyond anyone’s reach, now lying on the ground, utterly pitiful.

After leaving the sect, Bai Yuemian’s cultivation advances by leaps and bounds. When she hears the news, she is thrilled.

She sneaks into the sect in the dead of night and steals her master away.

Bonus scene:

During a trial, a desire demon wreaks havoc and unleashes an enchantment of lust. The disciples blush and nearly stumble, but her master remains impassive.

On the night they seal the demon, Bai Yuemian has a dream:

In the room separated from hers by a single wall, her master has bound himself tightly with shackles.

His robes are disheveled, his hair crown askew. His sweat-soaked chest presses against the cold stone wall, and his throat trembles with the pain of the enchantment.

In broken fragments, he calls her name.

The next day, her master’s ink-black hair is tied high, his robes are spotless, and his expression is cold and detached.

But Bai Yuemian catches sight of the red mark on his wrist, chafed by the shackles.

Bai Yuemian: (⊙o⊙) If that’s what you’re into, I’m wide awake now
