The Male Lead and I Were Both Big Shots [Book Transmigration]

An everyday, slightly goofy and sweet story

Once upon a time, Ruan Wenyuan's life was simple and happy. All he had to do was cackle away in Medicine King Valley while researching poison pills, then, a few centuries later, take his results to Qingcheng Mountain and challenge Peng Jiangcheng, the leader of the Sword Cultivator Alliance. He would cough up blood, go home, and continue cackling as he researched poison pills. A few centuries later, he'd challenge him again, then cough up blood and go home.

That is, until Peng Jiangcheng attempted to transcend the tribulation and ascend... and failed.

Ruan Wenyuan cried for three days and nights, feeling as if his entire life had lost all meaning.

If he couldn't poison the world's greatest sword cultivator and prove that poison cultivators were the strongest, what was the point of living?

Ruan Wenyuan drank the last bottle of poison he'd specially made for Peng Jiangcheng and died.

When Ruan Wenyuan opened his eyes again, Peng Jiangcheng's icy, lifeless face, now marked by a scar, was right beside his bed. Ruan Wenyuan threw his arms around Peng Jiangcheng and burst into tears. "How could you break our promise?!!!"

Peng Jiangcheng paused. Then Ruan Wenyuan watched that thousand-year-old ice-block face melt into a smile, shrewd and ingratiating. "Yes, yes, I'm sorry I kept you waiting. It's my fault for making Young Master Ruan angry."

Ruan Wenyuan stopped crying on the spot.

Then he cried even louder.

He practically knelt on the bed, burying his face in the pillow and pounding the mattress as he sobbed and shouted:

"Peng Xiurui! You bastard! What happened to you?!

How can I kill you when you're like this?

All this murderous intent of mine has gone to waste!"

Probably an entertainment-industry story about someone who transmigrates into a book.

P.S. Peng Jiangcheng's courtesy name is Xiurui.

(The blurb may get a few minor edits.)

Theme: Goofy fun.
