The Chaotic Eighties

Da Bei is a chronic procrastinator and a lazybones. A task that takes one minute will take her five.

Her grandma is impatient, and every time she sees Da Bei dragging her feet, she yells at her in exasperation.

"Good grief, you're driving me crazy! Are you a snail or what?"

"If you'd lived in your parents' time, I bet you wouldn't even have had anything to eat."

Da Bei: "..."

After her grandma complains about her once again, Da Bei unexpectedly travels back to the 1980s, to a harsh era when her stern eldest uncle is only nine, her dad is five, and her youngest aunt is just two.

That's right, Da Bei has become her dad: a little rascal who can climb trees to raid birds' nests and dive into rivers to catch fish and shrimp.

But this little rascal soon runs into her first problem.

She's only had a couple of bites of rice, and all the food is gone.

Now she really can't get enough to eat.
