Self-controlled, level-headed disciple gong x flirtatious, carefree, unrestrained master shou
Cen Yuxian was a minor official in the heavenly realm who had come down to the mortal world for a leisurely stay. But he was assigned a major mission: transmigrate back and live his life over again.
At first, he thought, I've already lived once, so I'll just take it easy this time. Then he met his good disciple, Ji Jin.
He then thought, Since I have this identity now, I'll be a good master. But in his disciple's eyes, he was frivolous and lazy, drank and smoked in private, and didn't act like a master at all.
Cen Yuxian felt wronged.
His disciple was naturally cool and distant, always followed the rules, and never caused him trouble. He was just a little greedy for money, which was rather adorable.
So even after Ji Jin died, Cen Yuxian still couldn't figure out which of them had fallen in love first.
He had to find out.
He left a mark on Ji Jin's lips. When he stubbornly returned once more to the year they had first met, he knew his willfulness had brought an even greater calamity upon the mortal world. Everything had spiraled out of control.
A little scene:
Cen Yuxian kneels before a pagoda, reflecting on his mistakes. Ji Jin comes to bring him food.
Ji Jin (coolly, and with great reluctance): "In cultivation, one must avoid laziness and rich food and drink. Master indulges in all of them, yet shows no remorse."
Cen Yuxian (shamelessly): "You're the most obedient disciple. Don't be mad anymore."
Ji Jin: "...Heh."
Ji Jin loses his money, and Cen Yuxian tries to soothe him: "Help me scrub my back, and I'll make up whatever you lost afterward."
After Ji Jin finishes scrubbing him, Cen Yuxian forgets all about it and happily goes to sleep.
In the middle of the night, he wakes with a start. A pair of resentful eyes stare at him from beside the bed, scaring him into a cold sweat.
"Where's my money?" Ji Jin asks.
Cen Yuxian: "..."

An alternate Song dynasty and entirely fictional characters, but with historical inspirations and events. This is not to be read as history.
