[Qing Dynasty] Work Hard, or You'll Be Forced to Inherit the Throne

Blurb: When he was three, the young Crown Prince Yinzhen received the System of Hard Work. From then on, he became a child with a mother. The System told Yinzhen: The emperor is another word for overworked wage slave. He gets up earlier than a chicken and goes to bed later than a dog. He may seem to hold all the power, but in truth he is shackled from head to toe. Eat an extra bowl of egg custard and people will criticize you. Try to have fun, and a crowd will chase after you, shouting, “Tyrant!” And you, as Crown Prince, are the emperor-in-training, just one step away from becoming an overworked wage slave. If you don’t study hard now and work hard in the future, you’ll be dragged off and forced to be an overworked wage slave! Yinzhen clutched his little toy tightly, tears welling in his eyes. A wicked consort planted people around him to brainwash him: You are the Crown Prince, the future emperor. You will have a noble status and supreme authority. The First Prince is your subject, and you are his ruler. You don’t need to pay him any attention. Yinzhen grabbed Kangxi around the leg and wailed, “I don’t want to be Crown Prince anymore!” [Strongly recommended] The early chapters focus on raising a child and family bonds; the later chapters focus on his career. The romance is minimal. It’s tagged as romance because that’s what makes sense. Thanks to the lovely @Xing Han Can Lan for discussing the story in depth and helping refine the details. [Coming soon]: The Qing Dynasty’s Greatest Author Aisin Gioro Yinxi had been forced to watch all kinds of melodramatic romance dramas in his dreams every night since he was very young. First came the tangled romances of Da Yuer, Xiao Yuer, Dorgon, and Huang Taiji. Then came the late emperor’s epic love affair with Consort Dong’e. On the day he turned ten, he watched the tale of love and hate between his Khan Ama and a transmigrator reach its conclusion. Starting at eleven, when the new drama The Domineering Emperor Falls for Me: Yongzheng’s Passionate Love premiered, he watched every story of undying love starring his brothers. Having seen through the ways of the world, Yinxi decided to become an emotionless writing machine. He would publish books! He would share the toxic plotlines he had endured with everyone else, so that people around the world could experience the feeling of being force-fed garbage by a story, yet being unable to put it down and following every update through tears. A thousand years later, historians described Aisin Gioro Yinxi this way: “He was the first bestselling author. Despite having a remarkable gift for writing and every opportunity to leave his mark on history, he became the first originator of melodramatic fiction in our history, all while a prince.” “Kangxi scolded him for neglecting his duties, but secretly kept up with every chapter!” “When the Nine Princes’ Succession Struggle began, Yinxi was caught up in it and stopped updating. That hiatus brought the whole sky crashing down…” “His imagination opened the eyes of future generations, and his worldview was even more toxic than his stories!” “His greatest contribution was breaking the Qing Dynasty’s literary inquisition all by himself!” Completed works: 1.
