My Idol Is Always Pretending to Be Me (Esports)

Chen Ke, jungler and former captain of the APG team, led his squad to countless victories after his KPL debut. He himself repeatedly won the regular-season MVP and the finals FMVP. But after losing the spring finals last year, he fell from the summit straight into the abyss.

Doxxed, cyberbullied, plagued by injuries, then leaving the team when his contract ended... Those were truly dark days.

Fortunately, at the lowest point in his life, he still had one super-loyal little angel of a fan by his side.

In the end, he climbed out of the mire and returned to the competition, standing once again beneath the golden confetti he'd dreamed of, and silencing all the haters who had doubted and slandered him.

During the year he vanished, APG.Echo was gone from the arena, but a mysterious expert who dominated every rank appeared in a boosting team.

While working as a booster, Chen Ke met a game streamer. The streamer was handsome, skilled at the game, and gentle, but also a little unlucky.

His bad luck came from running into Chen Ke.

When he was on Chen Ke's team, Chen Ke would think: I have a thousand ways to make you lose without you noticing.

When he was on the other team, Chen Ke would think: A pro player crushing you with superior skill!

It was only later that Chen Ke realized the unlucky streamer who had never once won against him was the same person as his devoted fan and apprentice: the one who unfailingly said good morning and good night every day, invited him to duo queue, chatted with him until dawn, and stayed by his side through his darkest, most uncertain days.

Xiao Yuzhe: "I've given you my combat power and my peak rank points. It isn't unreasonable for me to ask for you in return, is it?"

"Thank goodness you were there beside me through all those dark days."

"The you I like shines so brightly!"

#Originally titled The Actor's Self-Cultivation. Younger love interest.

#A gentle, obedient, optimistic little angel of a game streamer as the pursuer x a short-tempered, sharp-tongued, explosive pro player as the pursued

#Healing, slice-of-life story. The game is Honor of Kings. It's about esports and gaming, but romance takes up more of the story. You can think of the esports parts as a wuxia novel (?)

#The story takes place in 2019-2020. The teams and characters aren't based on real people, and the lineups and strategies are all made up.

#Updates at 9 a.m. by default.

Special thanks to my super duper cute best friend and great author Lu Zuo, my beta reader Qian Yi, and Master Lin, who stayed up late researching drafts with me and dragged me down in rank.

Theme: Face life's low points bravely.
