Hidden Demon Lover

The thousand-year-old orthodox sect Canghong Mountain was destroyed by a fox demon hiding her true nature. Its most gifted senior disciple, Luo Nanyan, lost all her immortal powers and was left without so much as a corpse.

The fox demon Zixing was the only one to survive. Hunted and cornered by the orthodox cultivators for years, she faced certain death when a demon dragon roared overhead, carrying the Demon Venerable in a black dress.

The new Demon Venerable was said to be ruthless and cruel, but she saved Zixing and took her to the Demon Realm.

Grateful for the Demon Venerable's kindness, Zixing presented her with a precious gift. Then she noticed that the masked woman seated high above had removed her mask. The Demon Venerable looked exactly like her aloof, gentle senior sister.

Her senior sister explained that after her physical body had been destroyed, she had fallen into demonic cultivation and started over. It turned out the demonic path suited her perfectly.

Holding the gift, Zixing couldn't decide whether to thank her first or apologize.

But her body moved faster than her thoughts. Her life mattered more than her dignity, so she dropped to her knees and begged for mercy without a second thought.

She thought the fox's life was forfeit, but her now-darkened senior sister only curled a finger at her, drew her into her arms, and said:

"Marry me, and I'll spare your life."

The seal on the Demon Realm beneath Canghong Mountain was broken, and demons returned to the mortal world. Amid the chaos, a formidable newcomer appeared in the Demon Realm.

Born with demonic bones, she seized a city in less than a day, claimed the former Demon Venerable's treasured sword in under a month, and came to rule half the Demon Realm.

Yet this fearsome woman had a face like the moon and eyes like a river of stars.

No one knew why she had fallen into demonic cultivation, until one day she snatched a little fox demon from the mortal world and hid her in her palace. Only then did the rumors begin.

Once a brilliant talent of the orthodox path, she repeatedly broke the rules for a fox demon, willingly let herself be deceived, and fell into demonic cultivation. Even then, she never stopped loving her. Truly, she was the most devoted lover in the world.

But only Zixing, trapped in the palace and left aching every day, knew that this devoted lover might pamper and adore her on the surface, yet whisper in her ear time and again about how much she wanted to kill her.

But in Luo Nanyan's heart, love and hate had long since become impossible to tell apart.

She loved how Zixing had burst into her desolate world, blazing with light. She loved her clumsy kisses and her fake declarations of love. But she also hated how simple-minded she was, how easy it was to see that her heart held no place for Luo Nanyan.

She had once been a genius championed by the orthodox sects, and now she was a Demon Venerable feared by all. But from beginning to end, all she wanted was for this little fox to give her heart to her.

I'm terrible at writing blurbs, so this is a temporary one. Screenshot from 8/13.

1. The writing is a little plain. This is self-indulgent; the little fox flirts first to get what she wants, then abandons her, only to be forcibly taken and locked away.

2. The little fox has her reasons, and she's still sweet and innocent. A little angst makes the sweetness sweeter, but it's mostly sweet.

3. The next story is posted as a preview for now. It will get its turn eventually.
