Let Me Die, I Can Carry the Team [Infinite]

[Screenshotted on July 25, 2020. Do not steal the premise.] Expected to have the entire novel drafted in advance in 2024. Ji Yu, the sole survivor of the very first escape game. According to the story, the first game was a clash between gods. No one paid Ji Yu any attention because he was frail, so he survived by sheer luck. In the new game, as a reward for clearing it, players who beat previous games are randomly assigned to different teams. The only "thanks for participating" prize in everyone's eyes ended up in the hands of Ye Chenling, this season's strongest newcomer and the current points leader. Ji Yu spat out a mouthful of blood. "Congratulations. You won the grand prize." Everyone else said, "Wipe the blood from the corner of your mouth. Then you might sound convincing." Only later did people realize that while other returning players might be powerful teammates, Ji Yu was the only one who was truly overpowered. What's with getting all lovey-dovey with monsters in an escape game? What's with getting stronger the more badly injured you are in an escape game? What's with him going against the grain and picking a fight with an NPC in an escape game?! Ji Yu: My name is Ji Yu. I'm the only undead player in this game. Some people used to call me the Immortal. If you could help me feel afraid of death again, I'd be delighted. That was Ji Yu's introduction, but unfortunately, with his new team, even getting himself killed was hard. Ji Yu: Let me die, and I'll carry the team! Ye Chenling: Stop messing around. We'll survive to the end together. [Protective, reliable, icy top who dotes on his wife x carefree, overpowered, captivating bottom who has someone to rely on] The bottom's ability grows stronger the closer he gets to death. Once he dies, he becomes invincible, leaving everyone else with no chance to play. The top's job is to protect him and keep him alive, or the game would be no fun. Theme: I do my part to keep the game fair.
