Reborn as a Tyrant, I Build a Nation Through Infrastructure

Not a political power struggle, but a sweet little nation-building story.

Lu Chenzhou transmigrates into a book as its doomed villain: a tyrant who brings about the fall of his kingdom. He is also bound to a Wise Ruler System, which orders him to save the Sheng Kingdom from its imminent destruction.

But there is a problem. The male lead, Feng Xuanling, comes from a family of generals. His elders died on the battlefield, leaving only him and the women and children of his household.

The original owner not only failed to treat Feng Xuanling well, but also tortured and humiliated him in every way imaginable.

After enduring it all for ten years, Feng Xuanling finally rebelled one day, had the original owner hacked to pieces, and left his corpse in the wilderness.

When Lu Chenzhou arrives, the south is flooded and the land is strewn with the bodies of the starving. Yet the original owner continues to squeeze the people with excessive taxes and wage wars recklessly, heedless of whether they live or die.

The male lead, Feng Xuanling, has just been beaten brutally by the original owner and thrown into a stable, where he may be dead or alive.

Now Lu Chenzhou must not only deal with the floods and locust plagues, but also keep an eye on the male lead, who may rebel and take his life.

To save his own skin, and for the people of the realm-

Lu Chenzhou controls the floods, grows crops, builds infrastructure, develops irrigation, opens trade routes, equips the army, and executes treacherous ministers. In the midst of chaos, he carves out a path to victory and turns the Sheng Kingdom into a paradise amid the turmoil.

The only thing that worries him is the original male lead, Feng Xuanling, who may rebel in the future and take his life.

But then he notices that Feng Xuanling, who used to be like a wolf cub, eager to bite through his throat, is beginning to look at him differently.

Only Feng Xuanling knows that even as he kneels, his back remains straight, yet the nape of his neck, left exposed, is utterly defenseless.

Until the day the original Feng Xuanling rebels and lays siege to the city.

He comes forward step by step, sword in hand.

Lu Chenzhou thinks Feng Xuanling is going to kill him, but the young man presents him with the enemy's severed head in both hands, his gaze following him like a shadow.

"I am willing to become Your Majesty's blade."

"To serve as your hound, your steed, and your subject."

"I ask only... to spend every day and night by Your Majesty's side, and to be united with you forever."

Premise: Uphold justice. It is everyone's responsibility.
