Walking with the Gods

The thirteenth year of the Great Calamity. People have grown used to living in a world abandoned by the gods. Crows gather above the city, and the dead crawl from their graves after midnight. Plague and war with foreign races leave the living without protection, struggling to survive in caves. Monstrous shadows revel around the shattered remnants of civilization: "The third Day of Death will rise at last. Everyone will die!" The last rescue team from Nore City gets lost in the thick fog. Darkness surrounds them, and crawling creatures scuttle nearby. Just as everyone believes they are about to become a meal for the foreign races, someone emerges from the mist, clad in a forgotten white robe, wearing a crown of thorns, with light shining from his body. "Who are you?" "Enoch." He holds golden ears of grain and a withered rose. "I am the last divine emissary." [Do you want to save this world? Yes. Then become a new god. All right.] Walk alongside the gods, and in the end, become one. Blurb posted on January 18, 2021, and archived with a screenshot. Plagiarism will be pursued.
