I Heard I'm the Apocalypse's Villainous Boss

Five hundred years into the apocalypse, ability ratings have long since replaced the college entrance exam.

Qiu Yue, an ordinary girl who never awakened an ability, has a prophetic dream.

In it, her second younger brother dies in a street race, her father dies in the ruins, and her third younger sister, the twins... one by one, they all fall in pools of blood. As for Qiu Yue, she ultimately stands at the top of the food chain on the opposing side of humanity, commanding a horde of corpses, besieging cities and destroying the world, vowing to wipe humanity out for good.

Qiu Yue wakes with a start, drenched in cold sweat.

Then she puts on her shoes, hops on her grocery bike, and stops her second younger brother on his way to a street race.

"From today on, not one of us is going to be left behind."

Save her second brother, save her father, save her third younger sister, save the twins. Qiu Yue gathers her family around her and grits her teeth as they put down roots in the wasteland. No abilities? No problem. She'll grow vegetables, stockpile food, and make every meal. She refuses to believe her family can't survive together.

Later, she meets Sheng Yu.

One of humanity's strongest fighters, the only light-element ability user, and her destined nemesis.

At the time, Sheng Yu is still an orphan, unloved by both his parents, prickly all over, with a gaze as cold as the wind over the wasteland.

Qiu Yue's first instinct is to run.

Her second is to make an extra portion of dinner.

Later still...

The King of Light, Sheng Yu, cuts through bloodshed and steps over piles of corpses, then places a max-level crystal core before her.

"Just say the word, and the throne is yours."

Qiu Yue serves up a pot of delicious stew:

"Eat up!"

Qiu Yue: Maybe fate has never favored me, but I've become the best version of myself.

Sheng Yu: Wherever you are, I will always be by your side!
