This was the sixth time Wen Wan had confessed to Gu Jiuling on his birthday.

The first time they celebrated a birthday together, the five-year-old princess barely reached above his waist. She was so messy while eating cake that she smeared cream from his chin down his neck.

"Brother Gu, let me wipe it off for you."

Gu Jiuling immediately stood up from his chair and refused. "No."

The little girl in her frilly dress was already kneeling on the chair, arms raised high as she teetered on the verge of tears. "Yes, yes!"

Gu Jiuling's expression was cool and composed. At last, he helplessly opened his arms too. Wen Wan shot forward and clung to him like a sloth, then quickly wrapped around him like a vine.

Their secret signal, "sneaky hug," was perfectly executed.

The little koala had grown up in the blink of an eye. Whenever her chubby little hands tugged at his waist, Gu Jiuling couldn't help smiling.
